We launched TurnUp on a mission to strengthen democracy by increasing high-impact youth civic action and closing the gap between young people who want to take civic action and those who take action. Specifically, our goal is to increase youth voter registration and turnout.
We are now the largest and fastest-growing coalition of youth voter registration and turnout advocates united by a shared commitment to increase youth voter registration and turnout at the polls by fully investing in our young people, removing systemic barriers to civic participation, and amplifying our formidable voice.
OUR GOALS FOR 2026

On-Campus Registration: Hiring students at 1,750 high schools and 291 community colleges in crucial states to conduct registration and turnout drives. Registering 76,000 students to vote and reminding 1 million students on their campuses to vote.

Relational Registration & Turnout: Hiring high school and community college students to digitally prompt their friends to register to vote. Also hiring low-propensity voters to remind their friends to vote. Registering 60,000 young people to vote and motivating 100,000 low-propensity voters to vote.

Grassroots Organizing: Training 6,000 students in our internship program. These interns will register 38,000 young voters and encourage 18 million young people to go to the polls through on-campus and relational voter registration drives, sending 17 million texts, and making one million phone calls to unregistered and low-propensity voters.

Digital Campaigns: Using paid digital advertising on social media, influencer and micro-influencer campaigns. Registering 16,000 young people to vote and reaching 81 million ad impressions to mobilize young voters.
